Background to the design
After studying Greek mythology, we were inspired to dedicate a t-shirt to Thanatos and thus bring Greek mythology to life.
Thanatos, in ancient Greek mythology and religion, is the embodiment of death. He was the son of Nyx, the goddess of the night, and the brother of Hypnos, the god of sleep. He appeared to people to take them to the underworld when the time allotted by the gods of fate had passed.
It is also said that he embodies an exclusively peaceful death by leading people to death with a kiss. In this way he represents the contrast to his brother Keres, who embodies violent death.
